CASE SETUP   -  Issues & Levels Pages

Pre-Production Checks

If the level does not exist, add it before proceeding.

 DOCUMENTS PAGE

2. Prepare Text

  Retrieve your production document set

  Select all documents

  Extract text (Tools menu)

Check Extracted Text Status - confirm completion

Add 'Extracted Text Status' column to the browse pane for easy review.

Run OCR on Images and PDFs if ‘Extracted Text Status’ is ‘Error No Content’

Only OCR images without embedded text and PDFs with embedded text.

Do not OCR images with embedded text.

After OCR completes, re-extract text on the entire production set

3. Image Documents

Select all documents that require imaging

  Send to imaging (Tools menu)

Check imaging status - confirm all documents completed successfully

Review any imaging errors. Documents that cannot be imaged should be tagged to a Native exception issue.

4. Handle Annotations

Search for documents with annotations (highlights/redactions)

  Review each annotated document

Tag annotated documents to the production issue: ‘Redacted-Annotations’

5. Tag Remaining Documents to Production Issues

Search for all documents in the production set which have not already been assigned a production issue

  Open the Issues pane

Tag all remaining documents to their correct production issue category:

  Endorsable Image

  Image No Text

  Native

  Native No Text

Each document can only belong to one exception population. Verify no overlaps.

Confirm total document count assigned to Production Issues matches the production set count

6. Add Documents to Production

Select all documents in the production set

Change coding template to 'Production - Unlocked'

Mass code documents to the production
